 Specialty Pharmacy experience desirable - The primary function of the Insurance Analyst is to investigate a patient’s insurance benefits, process and monitor prior authorizations and appeals, and identify alternate funding options (e.g., copay cards, independent copay foundations, and patient assistance programs) in an effort to make  medications more accessible to patients. The Insurance Analyst will perform the following tasks to meet their objective: - Run test claims, utilize web tools, and/or contact insurance providers via phone to investigate pharmacy and medical benefits. - Communicate the insurance benefits, prior authorization/appeal requirements, and alternate funding options to the physician and/or the patient via phone, fax, and/or mail. - Accurately documents all necessary information in appropriate information systems - Communicates information to patients and physicians using excellent customer service skills Specialty Pharmacy experience desirable - Thorough understanding and knowledge of pharmacy and major medical insurance programs, billing requirements, healthcare benefit investigation processes, prior authorization and appeal filings - Knowledge of government programs, including Medicare and Medicaid - Excellent customer services skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills required This position must understand and comply with all federal, state and local pharmacy laws and regulations, ethical billing practices, and HIPAA policies and guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides medical support with emphasis on the intake of medical product experiences and processing standard communication requests. Acts as a liaison with Quality Assurance for product quality problems where an adverse event is involved. Works with Customer Service to provide standard information and product replacement as necessary. Provides assistance to the medical and lay community with standard information that is from the package insert or information from the standard letter database that deals with “labeled” and specific “off-label” information/indications. 3-5 Years Experience Level.

Support R&D personnel in drafting, review and tracking of contracts. Works with Contract Coordination Group and legal to address contract related issues. 5+ Years Experience Level.

Manage Phases I – IV domestic and international clinical research studies. Responsibilities include protocol design and development, case report form development, contract negotiation, site recruitment, support program management for project reviews, budget and timeline development, establish relationships with outside vendors, medical consultants and partners, provide IND and NDA summary reports, interface with interdisciplinary teams, monitor project timelines, develop project management tools, and provide project presentations. 0-3 Years Experience Level.

 Member of the clinical team responsible for conducting Phase I-IV single or multi center studies according to Federal Regulations and ICH guidelines. Responsible for assisting senior staff in planning study conduct, designing case report forms (CRFs), Contract Research Organization (CRO) selection and management, selection and training of investigator sites, planning and running study meetings, evaluation, selection and training of new study investigators and writing and assembling submissions. Responsible for writing basic study protocols, monitoring or overseeing monitoring of investigational sites to ensure protocol adherence, assuring timely enrollment of patients and retrieval of CRFs from study sites, processing CRFs including data cleanup and classification of data, and completion of study summary. 5+ Years Experience Level.

Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, compounds and dispenses medical prescriptions. May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. Requires 3+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs. Enters data such as patient name, prescribed medication and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory. Assays medications to determine identity, purity, and strength. Instructs interns and other medical personnel on matters pertaining to pharmacy.

 - Capture patient specific clinical and financial information in a thorough and accurate manner that assures the most effective and appropriate processing of the patient's medication.

- Provide overview of product coverage to patient, including insurance benefit coverage, Abbott-sponsored co-pay cards, and alternate forms of coverage (alternate forms of coverage may include independent copay foundations and the Abbott Patient Assistance Foundations). When appropriate, identify additional forms of alternate coverage for the patient based upon verbal assessment of patient's insurance and financial situation. - Accurately enter into the core pharmacy system the patient's appropriate demographic information including patient address, phone number, date of birth, and opt-in information as defined by pharmacy policies and procedures - Schedule delivery of medication in order to assure patient has adequate and on-time drug supply for administration.

 - Queue patients for proper follow up e.g., setup ship date, set up precall to contact patient for next refill, set up date for collection of co-payments, forwarding of educational materials, etc.

 - Using appropriate technology, secure the patients financial responsibility for their medication by collect.

Well known practice in Lake County is in need of a PTA for a temporary position from Dec. 19th through January 31, 2012. 

Working under the supervision of a PT, the PTA will use physical treatment procedures to help improve mobility and relieve pain and disability caused by disease or injury.

Looking for experienced Phlebotomists/Medical Assistants to do blood draws on subjects that volunteer for Phase I Clinical Research studies.  Individuals must have excellent phlebotomy skills as all blood draws are completed on a timed basis according to the study protocol. 

Applicants must also have experience doing EKG's and taking vitals.
